Never Again is a song I wrote after seeing modern day history start to repeat old patterns. The Holocaust was a horrific part of history but we must never forget what happened lest we allow something like it to happen again. The lyric, "Look at the horse it goes round and round, round and round on the merry go round" is taken from a quote my dad once taught me about how history repeating is like a merry go round. You won't see it repeating if you look at the riders, but if you look at the horse, you'll see the same one coming back around every single time. The lyric, "We say 'Never Again', but it's never the end, and we must still stand with them" is meant to remind us that it's never the end where we can forget about the past and become ignorant to patterns. I wrote this about my Jewish brothers and sisters but the message stands for all throughout history who would be targeted, we must never let these terrible things happen to us ever again, Never Again. This video was filmed in Masada, Old City Jerusalem and at the "March of Nations" parade in Jerusalem. This song is based off of Psalm 91 in the bible. We shot this on a whim in an old abandoned house in Bosque, NM. I remember feeling the contrast from destroyed and neglected to the message of the song, which is hope and trust in God was powerful. My life feels like that house sometimes, but even in those moments of emptiness, God is present and he is creating a new hope in Him. This is single off of my album, "The Remnant". Hello everyone, Due to all that is going on in the world right now and it also coinciding with Passover this week I couldn't help but correlate our current "plague" to those of the story in Exodus. One of my favorite movies is "The Prince of Egypt" and this song gives me hope that just as God delivered his people then, he will deliver us again with an outstretched arm.
